“Parsow’s began in 1952 as an 800 square foot haberdashery in downtown Omaha,” says Larry Ginsburg, who became a partner in the business in 1989. The current store is now 5,600 square feet. Larry says the greatest compliment he has received are customers referring to Parsow’s as their ‘Cheers’, with some customers stopping by just to hang out in the friendly atmosphere.

MODERN LOVE
You might not think of Omaha as a vegetarian mecca, but Isa Moskowitz left Brooklyn to open Modern Love, which is just that. The Omaha World-Herald awarded them the best veggie burger in the city. If you’re feeling more carnivorous, Larry suggests “Dante, where chef Nick Strawhecker makes the best chicken livers and rigatoni you’ve ever tasted.”

TERRY PETERSEN
Terry is such a big fan of Robert Graham with a collection of almost 100 shirts, that he is known around Omaha as “The Shirt Guy”! He’s also a big fan of Larry Ginsburg and Parsow’s and has been shopping with them for over 40 years. He loves that Larry knows exactly what he is going to like and that he puts special items aside for Terry

Larry tells me that his favorite thing about Omaha is that “You get a small town feel in a cosmopolitan setting.” No place is more evident than in thriving downtown Omaha, which includes the historic Old Market.

COLLEGE WORLD SERIES
Omaha has been home to baseball’s College World Series since 1950. Larry says the number of people who come to the city each Spring and Summer is incredible. Many stay the full two weeks of the series, tailgating the entire time.

AND AQUARIUM
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is not only a world class conservation center, but this year, Trip Advisor named it “Best Zoo in the United States”. It is also home to the Desert Dome, the world’s largest indoor desert. People come from all over to country just to experience it.
