Scott Lyall is located in the scenic Riverfront, Napa’s most exclusive shopping neighborhood. Lyall offers contemporary high-end sportswear and sport coats with a strong emphasis on customer service: opening the store when his customers need him and never charging for shipping. Retail is the family business, with Scott’s mother, Helen Lyall, being the proprietor of an eponymous store also in the Riverfront. Scott Lyall also has a new second location in Sonoma.

When asked about his favorite restaurants, Scott Lyall could not narrow it down to one, although he definitley likes to dine in a “high-energy” atmosphere as opposed to somewhere quiet and subdued. As a small business owner, he also likes to support other local businesses, such as Morimoto Napa in Riverfront, located next to his store. His other favorites include: Bistro Don Giovanni, Angèle, and Coles Chop House.

BRESSLER VINEYARDS
Bob Bressler is a winery owner in the Napa Valley and one of Scott Lyall’s best Robert Graham customers. Bob was, in fact, Scott Lyall’s first customer, wandering into the store before Scott was officially open. Bob was looking for the perfect black sport coat, which turned out to be a Robert Graham blazer. Bob is also a fan of the bold-patterned Robert Graham shirts that help him stand out from the crowd.

When asked to name a “must-see” spot for everyone to experience in Napa, Scott immediately named The Silverado Trail. “You can just ride it back and forth and see amazing scenery and all of these beautiful vineyards — it’s surprising how many people who come here are not aware of it,” he says.

Scott Lyall works six days a week and doesn’t get a lot of down time. When he does, one of his favorite things to do is to spend an evening at the Napa outpost of the famous Blue Note Jazz Club. One of his favorite artists is the jazz and R&B pianist Brian Culbertson.

Scott Lyall grew up on a horse ranch about fifteen minutes away from Napa, so he considers himself a local. His favorite thing about living there is the weather: “You get to experience the seasons while having the sun out from mid-March to midOctober. Heaven!”
